What you're buying
ARSENALS is a digital book (ebook) in three files: a designed PDF, a large-print PDF and an EPUB. Nothing is printed or shipped. After checkout, Gumroad emails you a link to download the files.
Price and checkout
The price is shown on the page and at checkout, in US dollars. The launch price of $37 runs until November 15, 2026; after that the price is $57. Checkout is run by Gumroad, which may add sales tax or VAT where the law requires it, and its own terms apply to the payment.
Your licence
When you buy ARSENALS you may download it, keep it, and read it on your own devices, and print pages for your own use. You may not copy, share, resell, upload or publish the files or substantial parts of them, or use them to train software. If you received the book as a gift, the same applies to you.
The text, design and compilation are protected by copyright. Photographs are credited to their sources in the book; their rights belong to their owners.

What the book is, and isn't
- An independent history. ARSENALS is not affiliated with or endorsed by any person named in it, their families or estates, or any studio, auction house or museum. Names are used to identify the people the history is about.
- Not a manual. It is a history book about famous people and the guns they kept. It is not instruction in the use, purchase, repair or modification of firearms.
- Not an appraisal. Auction prices in the book are past results, each dated, and are not valuations of any gun you own. For a value or a history of your own gun, ask a qualified appraiser or the maker's archive.
- Checked, not perfect. We checked the book against auction records, museum files and factory letters, and say where the record is disputed. Records can be wrong or change, and museum displays change. If you find an error, tell us and we'll look at it.
Liability
The book and this site are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything to do with ARSENALS is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you bought the book applies to that purchase.
